Pros and cons of Vienna Travel Guide (with Offline Maps) - mTrip app for iPhone and iPad

Vienna Travel Guide (with Offline Maps) - mTrip app good for

This is a great app. The restaurant section could use more in-depth reviews (Vienna guide), but everything else is very well covered. The autonatic trip planning button rocks and the GPS map does a good job. Tube map missing. All in all: excellent. Will buy any other cities once there.
I used this app to plan most of my trip to Vienna. Overall, I am very satisfied with the app. Here are a few improvements that could be made in the next update: 1. Fix occasional crash 2. I could not find an easy way to search for metro (subway) stops near me 3. It would be great if this app would take the weather into planning consideration - more or less time outdoors depending on the weather
I am fully satisfied with this app. If the price was a little bit lower it would be absolutely fantastic :)

Some bad moments

This app is wonderful. It makes the iPhone into a tour guide even without Internet access. You input your dates of visit, hotel, interests and energy and it will select places to visit on each day, in the right order based on geographic location. Or you can enter your own choice of places. The app offers descriptions, opening hours and navigation. And everything works offline with no data connection required. Ive used the sister apps for London, Madrid, and Barcelona. It keeps getting better! My favorite part is the navigation between sights. It will give directions for walking and public transport. Things that would be really cool to implement include the ability to tag places with your own photos and export a trip with daily maps, photos, video to an archive, website or even a PDF file. As it stands if you go back to a place you have to erase your previous trip. The editorial hand is also a little light. Id like some more opinion on the best places to visit. Though they do give reader ratings of places.
Got on a plane for a long weekend with no plans. Downloaded the app it an sets up with some great suggestions and location insights. A great starting point to get creative
Need info on bus and some places are missing from the guide which is unfortunate. I combine this with a travel book and advise from locals
I had used the timeout travel app for my last trip to Europe and absolutely loved it, so I was more than willing to pay the same amount of money for another travel app.. In short, this one was a complete waste of money. The app doesnt locate you on the map and asks you to turn the GPS on when my other app that was FREE had no problem locating me. It makes numerous suggestions for restaurants but very inconvenient when youre trying to actually get to one. The distance, ratings, navigation were all very poorly done and inaccurate. I normally dont rate apps, but I really wouldnt want anyone wasting their money on. Vienna is an amazing city with so much culture and charm, I would tell my friends not to ruin it by getting frustrated over a overpriced lousy app.
Very good once you learn to us3 it. We are in Vienna and its great!
Visited Vienna for the first time and it was a life saver. Well worth the cost. It has it all, helps you pick out and save the sites and places you most want to visit, and, the biggest plus, it can track where you are without using data (offline). As an American without my 4G abroad, this alone was worth it. Great app.
